Publish Amount Of New Notes Disbursed To Bank - CSOs Tell CBNA group of civil society organisations (CSOs) has urged the federal government to order security and anti-corruption organisations to remove the new Naira notes that are purportedly being stored in a select group of people’s homes and workplaces.

The CSOs has also made a statement in response to the Federal Government’s assertion that some individuals were hoarding billions of outdated Naira notes in prominent locations.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has been urged by a coalition of civil society organisations to disclose information about the quantity of the newly designed Naira notes distributed to commercial banks.

The coalition, which consisted of no less than 38 CSOs, including the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre, Say no Campaign, Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), and Connected Development Budget, among others, made the request at a news conference on the state of the nation in Abuja.

Auwal Rafsanjani, executive director of CISLAC, Tobi Okuwatoba, head of CJID, Ibrahim Zikirullahi, CEO of CHRICED, and Jaye Kaskiya were among the CSO delegates at the conference.
