In less than two years of President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria has achieved a significant economic milestone.

The country has successfully attracted over $30 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) commitments—a remarkable feat that reflects the administration’s growing influence on the global investment landscape.

At the opening of the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) 2024 conference in Abuja, it was National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu who shared the news, highlighting the government’s drive to strengthen Nigeria’s economy.

He stated: “In the significant search for Foreign Direct Investment, my administration has received over $30 billion in commitments from foreign investors.”

This achievement didn’t come overnight.

Tinubu’s administration began with a clear vision: to transform Nigeria’s economic foundations.

As a result, within a short time, the government has already made impressive strides.

Ribadu explained that the administration’s focus on attracting investment has led to this unprecedented success.

Of course, implementing such a transformation was never going to be easy.

Policies like the removal of fuel subsidies and the unification of the exchange rate were challenging for many Nigerians.

Nevertheless, Tinubu remained firm in his belief that these difficult measures were necessary for long-term growth.

Moreover, as a testament to this vision, Tinubu pointed to the stability in the oil sector, with production now reaching 1.8 million barrels per day.

With this progress, the president expressed confidence that critics of his administration would soon be few, as Nigeria continues on its path to economic recovery and stability.
