On Monday, November 14th, 2022, music chart news platform Chart Data announced that ‘Sunflower’ was eligible for its 17th platinum plaque, making it the most certified song in the United States.

The single released in 2018 is one of the songs on Post Malone’s album ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’released in 2019. The single would become the soundtrack for the hit Marvel cartoon’Spider-man: Into the Spider Verse’.
With its 17th platinum plaque, ‘Sunflower’ has surpassed the previous record of 16th platinum held byLil Nas X’s ‘Old Town Road’.

The song has amassed over 2.4 billion streams on Spotify and over 1.9 billion streams on YouTube.

It was nominated for the Record of the Year and Best Duo/Group Performance at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
