Pep Guardiola heaped praise on his star striker Erling Haaland as the Manchester City superstar broke yet another record on Tuesday.
The Norwegian international scripted yet another record on Tuesday against RB Leipzig in a Champions League clash.
However, he became the youngest and the fastest playerto reach 40 goals in the competition.
Also, he has managed to achieve the milestone in just 35 games, 10 matches less than that of Ruud van Nistelrooy who was the previous record holder.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, who is used to seeing the star player shattering records, reluctantly heaped praise on the forward after the match.
Speaking to reporters in the post-match press conference, Guardiola said, “Again? I have to tell you again?
“A thousand million times, I’m really impressed. They won today.
“Another record. Congratulations. He’s a fantastic player.
“I tell you many times, we’re really, really pleased. We love him, not just for the goals he scores, but for many many other things.”
During the weekend, the 23-year-old became the fastest player to reach 50 Premier League goals when he scored against Liverpool on Saturday in his 48th match in the English top-flight.
However, he smashed the previous tally of 65 games which was held by United legend Andy Cole.
After maintaining their hundred per cent win record in the Champions League, the Cityzens will now aim to reclaim the top spot on the Premier League table as they next take on Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
