Politics indeed is a game of interest. Politicians in Nigeria only pitch their tent were it favours them, as the saying goes “Anywhere belle face na front”.

PDP

Betrayal has become an integral element of politics in Nigeria, and political parties frown bitterly at it.

Recently, as part of the 2023 elections, some politicians turned their backs on their party and the party is not happy about it.

Ayodele Fayose falls under this category of politicians.

Fayose is a former Governor of Ekiti State and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Although he had said he was quitting partisan politics to become an elder stateman.

Suspension

Consequently, the PDP has suspended Fayose.

A former Senate President/Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim was also suspended.

The party also suspended Professor Dennis Ityavyar and Dr. Aslam Aliyu.

Ortom’s Case

Samuel Ortom’s case seem to be different, hence the party referred him to its Disciplinary Committee.
