You see, there is a collaboration between the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on this excessive PoS charge.
It is even beginning to yield result.
Some erring PoS operators have been arrested in Makurdi, Benue State.
Their arrest came after complaints by Nigerians from various parts of the country.
Basically people have expressed displeasure with the exorbitant amount that PoS operators heap on them.
They could charge as high as 15% to 25% on each transaction carried out by customers.

So far, four erring PoS operators have been arrested.
The arrest was made during a joint operation led by CBN Deputy Director, Harry Agbo, and law enforcement agents after which the EFCC promised to prosecute the culprits.
The team visited major markets in Makurdi, and PoS outlets across the state capital.
However, the accused PoS operators were not allowed to explain the reason for such charges.
The apex bank reportedly conducted the operation with the directive not to make a public statement on any issue from the state branches.
According to them, anyone found wanting after investigations would be prosecuted.
