When someone threatens to kill an on-duty policeman on the highway, you cannot help but wonder what could have given him the boldness to make such utterance.
A Muslim cleric, Alfa Ahmed Atidade, was seen in a viral video shouting at a policeman who stopped his vehicle for routine checks and questioning in Ibadan, Oyo State, saying, “I will kill you!” and “I will show you, you are a bastard, I am with your bosses, carry me to the station, I will show you I’m bigger than you”.
It is unclear what led to the altercation between policemen and the cleric, but Nigerians react to the fact that the cleric was using such powerful words on the Nigerian police.
