R&B singer Mario is set to release his highly anticipated album Glad You Came on December 13, 2024, through New Citizen/Epic Records.
The album, executive-produced by acclaimed songwriter James Fauntleroy, is Mario’s first project in six years.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the album, Mario shared, “My experiences in love, both the successes and the failures, shaped this body of work.”
He expressed his excitement about collaborating with Fauntleroy, saying, “We share the same mission of preserving the art of R&B.”
Glad You Came promises a blend of classic R&B and retro-futuristic sounds. “It’s about inviting intimacy and imagination back into the genre,” Mario explained, noting the album’s mix of vulnerability and confidence.
This album follows Mario’s recent performances at Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday tour in Los Angeles and as a surprise guest at Drake’s Nostalgia event in Toronto.
In 2025, Mario will join Mary J. Blige’s The For My Fans Tour alongside Ne-Yo, kicking off in January.
