American singer, Khalid, is regarded as one of the most prominent R&B/pop artists in the music industry.
On Friday November 2024, the multi-platinum recording artist was outed as gay by a disgruntled former partner on social media.
In response to the claims, the “Location” singer confirmed that he is part of the LGBTQ+ community.
Taking to the social media platform X, Khalid addressed his sexuality with a simple yet lighthearted statement.
Also, this message was accompanied by a rainbow flag emoji: “There y’all go. Next topic please lol.”
When a user questioned his orientation, he responded directly, saying, “I am! And that’s okay”.
However, this clear affirmation followed what Khalid described as being outed.
This led him to emphasise: “I am not ashamed of my sexuality!”.
In a subsequent post, Khalid expressed his feelings about being outed without his consent.
Also, he stated that while the experience was unexpected, he remains entirely comfortable with who he is.
“I got outed, and the world still continues to turn. Let’s get this straight (lmao) — I am not ashamed of my sexuality!” he reiterated.
Also, he points that his personal life is ultimately his own business.
