John Legend has announced that he will not be returning as a coach on the upcoming season of ‘The Voice’.
The news comes after NBC confirmed that Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Bublé will make up the coaching panel for season 26.
The artiste blames his departure from the show on his busy schedule. “We’ve got so many things going on,” he said in a recent interview. “I’ll be doing a lot of shows this summer and traveling overseas.”
Despite his departure, Legend joked that he won’t actually be taking a break, hinting that he may return to the show in the future.
Legend first joined The Voice as a coach in season 16, where he won with artiste Maelyn Jarmon. He previously served as an adviser in season 12.
