More reactions are pouring in on the result of the February 25 presidential election in Nigeria organised by the Independent National electoral Commission (INEC).

Different individuals are coming out with claims of how INEC officials in some polling units didn’t perform their duties as expected on election day.

These disappointments are often expressed on social media and in video recordings.

They share how they waited to count the votes at their polling unit only to see a totally different figure announced by Mahmood Yakubu.

However, some of the INEC officials lamented that the BVAS device they worked with had glitches when uploading the results to the portal.

For instance, an iBrand reporter that monitored JUNCTION OF OYE ELEGUNDE/TAIWO ST. Kenneth Okonkwo from Labour Party is also attacking the electoral body over the presidential elections in a video recording.

He said: “There’s nothing wrong with the BVAS, no glitch, but deliberate, willful manipulation of the BVAS by INEC officials to declare Tinubu the winner.

“We had three elections on February 25, 2023; how come the BVAS machine worked well during the accreditation, the Senate, and the House of Representatives results collation but had a “glitch” in the Presidency collation?”.

Despite all the allegations laid against INEC, the body insists that the 2023 presidential election was free and fair, and there won’t be a re-run.
