INEC, Buhari And Fake Promises
It is not the first time that reports of electoral violence and irregularities are coming from Nigeria’s election. It is gradually making electorates to lose interest in the country’s politics.
In past elections, some Nigerians opted to stay at home to going out to cast their votes over fear of losing their lives.
Parents during elections never allowed their children to step out of the house.
Also, elections days in the past were days of hosting football competition for the youths.
The interest of the youths in previous elections was always low.
However, there was a significant shift in the 2023 elections.
Nigerian youths suddenly developed so much interest in the Nation’s politics.
They became suddenly interested in the country’s politics that many of them took bold steps vying for various political positions in the 2023 elections.
Those not vying for political offices trooped out in large numbers to register and collect their permanent Voters Card (PVC).
The reason for the sudden interest is no secret.
