Interestingly, Hilda appeared without scare at a press conference on Thursday, few days after depriving herself of tangible and adequate sleep. Her quest was to imprint her name in the Guinness Book of records.

How Hilda Baci Scaled Sleepless Nights In Cook-A-Thon

The cooking period ended well, but the record keeper will have to look at CCTV videos and every documentation to ensure that Hilda followed due process before she will take the title.

Indeed, pushing to unseat a record holder is not a small deal, especially if it has to take your sleep away.

You see, your day is divided into three parts, 8-8-8 (24 hours) and in that division sits the need to sleep for at least 8 hours if you are adult.

Eight hours to work for an employer and 8 hours to yourself.

According to studies, it takes adequate sleep for the brain to clean and make life more meaningful the next day.

But what happens when you do not get adequate sleep in 24 hours?

A study says sleep deprivation at 24 hours are comparable to the cognitive impairment of someone with a blood alcohol content of 0.1%.

How Hilda Survived Sleepless Nights

It must have been a tough work for Hilda Baci to draw from her brain in the cook-a-thon days, spent preparing over 120 meals to grab a record in cooking.

If you try to stay awake all day, it could be a very easy task because of your body clock.

However, the night is another period that nature comes calling. For someone who has been busy cooking through the day, it will be so demanding.

The body needs rest, but Hilda dragged her body on.

So, how did she survive these nights without trouble?

Fortunately, an insider, a director in the whole process, tells us how she survived the entire process without adequate sleep.

Tosin Obembe says the allocated hours of rest was properly utilised, taking note of Hilda’s weaknesses during her body clock’s sleeping time.
