You see, the Governor has approved the sum of ₦100,000 as Christmas bonus for workers in Rivers State.

The development was announced in a statement on Tuesday.


The state commissioner for information and communication, Warisenibo Joe Johnson, gave detail of the disbursement.

According to him, the sum was approved for immediate implementation to allow Rivers’ workers enjoy their yuletide celebration.

A Wonderful Celebration

“Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has approved the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira (₦100,000) as Christmas bonus for the State’s civil servants on the State payroll.

“Gov. Fubara gave the approval on Tuesday for immediate implementation.

””It is to enable the civil servants to have a wonderful yuletide celebration,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, It is the second time that Governor Fubara is appreciating the people of Rivers State.


Basically, the few months of his administration have been entangled with series of trials and tussle with his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.

Many believe Wike picked him as his successor to rise to the level of a godfather in Rivers State. But things went really bad to the point that he was on an ‘impeachment balance’.
