‘Game of Thrones’ star Sophie Turner and singer Joe Jonas are officially divorced. The terms of the settlement, including details regarding the custody of their two daughters, Willa, three, and Delphine, two, remain confidential.
Jonas and Turner announced their separation in September 2023 with a joint statement on Instagram, revealing their decision to “amicably end” their four-year marriage.
The statement which read in part that, “After four years of wonderful marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.
There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
Following the announcement, Turner filed a lawsuit against Jonas, accusing him of wrongfully retaining their children in New York instead of their “habitual residence” in England.
The court documents indicated that the couple had established the UK as their permanent residence in April 2023, intending for their daughters to attend school there.
They had moved into a rental home in the UK in May 2023 and planned to relocate to a new home by December 2023.
After a period of mediation, the couple resolved their disputes and agreed on a temporary child custody plan.
