Eminem is set to kick off the 2024 MTV VMAs with a highly anticipated performance featuring tracks from his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady.
This will be the rapper’s first TV show performance of material from the new album.
Eminem is nominated for eight VMAs this year, including Video of the Year, Best Hip-Hop, and Song of the Summer.
He’s also up for the VMAs Most Iconic Performance award for his 2000 medley of “Real Slim Shady” and “The Way I Am,” featuring over 100 look-alikes.
The rapper is set to break the record for most VMA wins by a solo male artiste, currently tied with Peter Gabriel.
With 13 VMAs, he holds the record for the most wins by a rap artiste.
He is the second most nominated artiste in VMA history, with 67 nods, behind only Madonna.
The VMAs will feature performances from a star-studded lineup, including Anitta, Sabrina Carpenter, Shawn Mendes, and Katy Perry.
Presenters for the evening include Big Sean, Busta Rhymes, Carson Daly, Cyndi Lauper, DJ Khaled, and many more.
