Oyebanji signed the 2024 appropriation bill into law with the assurance that the budget would be implemented for the realisation of a shared prosperity agenda.
Meanwhile, 56% of the budget was appropriated for recurrent expenditure, with 44% earmarked for capital expenditure.
Governor Oyebanji said his administration was fully committed to implementing the budget.
“We promise to drive sustainable growth and improve the standard of living through this budget,” he said.
Purpose Of The Budget
According to him, the budget would stimulate economic activities, create jobs, and enhance the overall socio-economic landscape of the state.
It will also assist this government in delivering on its campaign promises and fulfilling its obligations to the people.
A Reliable Partner
The governor thanked the Speaker and Members of the House of Assembly for their thorough review of the budget.
Also, he expressed gratitude for the preparation of the final budget.
He said the Assembly had proven to be a reliable partner in the development agenda of the state.

“Mr. Speaker, I have listened to you on the need to partner with the House of Assembly on fulfilling this budget through oversight.
“We will ensure that we implement this budget to the letter because the only way we can incentivise our people and deliver on our promise is to implement the budget,” the governor declared.
