Now Lionel Messi has made the stunning announcement that he would be moving to Inter Miami in July – but has he made the right call?

The American continent will soon be home to Lionel Messi! After rejecting Saudi Arabian and European teams’ interest.

The World Cup winner has announced he is transferring to Inter Miami, ending his unhappy two years at Paris Saint-Germain.

But did he make the right decision?

Unarguably, a return to Barcelona was clearly what football supporters wanted to see most, with 57% of people picking the Liga champions.

Messi decided against heading to Saudi Arabia, although 19% of the people would’ve liked to have seen him facing off against Cristiano Ronaldo and even Benzema in the Middle East.

As for what Messi ultimately decided, a move to Inter Miami, 9% wanted to see that happen.

Messi and the readers didn’t find the idea of signing a new deal and staying at PSG appealing; only 6% of respondents said Messi should have stayed in the French city.
