They were runners-up to France four years ago now confirming their status as one of the best football nations with another third-place finish.
Josko Gvardiol gave Croatia the lead seven minutes into the game against Morocco with a superb diving header.

However, Achraf Dari leveled for Morocco just two minutes later by nodding home from close range.
Mislav Orsic scored another goal for Croatia, leading the team to a victory against the African team.
All three goals were scored within the first half of an excitingly fought match.
Argentina would play against France to determine the World Cup champions and second place, on Sunday.
