COVID-19: FG moves to ban inter-state travel, shutdown motor parks

As part of measures to curtail the spread of Coronavirus, code-named COVID-19 in Nigeria, the Federal Government has Thursday, said it will suspend inter-state travels.

This is coming even as the Minister of Information Minister, Lai Mohammed also said it will shutdown every motor parks in the country.

Mohammed, in a press briefing to journalists, stated that this is one of the government’s measures to tackle the spread of coronavirus in the country.

The minister added that the government will also embark on the fumigation of markets, towns and cities all over the nation, adding that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration will not relent in its drive to ensure social distancing among Nigerians.

He went on to say that measures will be taken to increase the number of bed spaces in hospitals.
