Towards ensuring that residents of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, comply with the Federal Government lockdown directive, the Police in Abuja has shutdown a quarry blasting company in the country capital city.

The quarry located at Orozo, in Karu Local Government Area, LGA, of the FCT is run by Chinese nationals.

While confirming the shutdown, the Commissioner of Police, FCT, Bala Ciroma stated that the company which is being operated by Chinese Nationals and some Nigerians will remain shut until the COVID-19 lockdown is over

“Contrary to some reports, none of the seven Chinese expatriates found on the site was arrested particularly as they gave assurance of obeying the Federal Government lockdown directive.”
