Chance The Rapper and his wife Kristen Corley have decided to split up after being together for five years.
They made a joint statement on Chance’s Instagram Stories on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, to share the news.
The statement says, “After spending some time apart, we have decided to go our separate ways. We made this decision peacefully and with appreciation for the time we had together.
“We are thankful for our two lovely daughters, whom we will keep raising together. We ask for privacy and understanding as we go through this. Thank you, Chance & Kirsten.”
They married in 2019 and have two daughters: 7-year-old Kensli and 4-year-old Marli. They celebrated their wedding at Pelican Hill resort in Newport Beach, California, with 150 close friends and family members.
In 2023, Chance The Rapper received criticism when a video showed him dancing with a woman at Jamaica’s Carnival.
Some people noted that Chance is married. The video shows Chance having fun at the Jamaican festival, with a woman twerking as he leans back. Chance is also seen slapping the woman’s behind in the clip.
