Cardi B has once again filed for divorce from her husband, Offset, after seven years of marriage.
This marks the second time she has sought to end their union. Her representative confirmed the news, stating that the decision was not based on a single incident, but rather a culmination of issues that have been building over time.
Cardi B submitted the divorce petition on Wednesday, seeking primary custody of their two children: 5-year-old daughter Kulture and 2-year-old son Wave.
This marks the second time Cardi B has sought to end her marriage with Offset whom she married in 2017.
She previously filed in September 2020, citing disagreements rather than infidelity, despite ongoing rumours about Offset’s alleged cheating.
At the time, Cardi B said, “I just got tired of arguing. I got tired of not seeing things eye to eye.”
However, within a month, the couple reconciled, and the divorce case was dismissed in early November 2020.
Cardi B later explained on Instagram Live that their separation was difficult due to their close bond, saying, “It’s hard not to talk to your best friend.”
Over the next four years, their relationship faced additional challenges, including cheating rumours and a social media spat.
In December 2023, Cardi their separation once more, stating, “I’ve been single for a minute now.”
On the same day she filed for divorce, Cardi B announced that she is pregnant with her third child.
She shared a photo of her baby bump on Instagram, captioning it “With every ending comes a new beginning!”
