The self-acclaimed disciple of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Simon Ekpa has been arrested by officials of the International Criminal Police Organization, (Interpol) in Finland.
The Finland-based agitator was nabbed in his residence near the Lahti Market Square following threats to disrupt the forthcoming elections.
Ekpa threatened to stop the South East region from participating in Saturday’s elections.

On Thursday, he tweeted: “We the people of Biafra will fight to the end this time”.
Killings in South East
Prior to Ekpa’s arrest, the Nigerian Government had summoned the Ambassador of Finland in Nigeria, expressing serious concern over his threat to disrupt the elections.
Ahead of the election, there have been killings in south eastern part of Nigeria.
The latest is the killing of a member of Peter obi’s political party in Enugu.
The Labour Party (LP) senatorial candidate, Oyibo Chukwu, was attacked on Wednesday along with other members of his convoy in Enugu.
After shooting at them, the gunmen set their vehicles on fire burning most of the occupants beyond recognition.
No group has claimed the attack.
