Barcelona club president Joan Laporta has hit out at the RFEF and La Liga over their handling of the Dani Olmo case.
The Catalan giants’ financial difficulties had initially prevented them from registering Olmo and Pau Victor for the second half of the season due to La Liga’s wage cap rules.
Their initial request to extend the players’ eligibility was denied, prompting the club to appeal.
On Wednesday, the Spanish National Sports Council (CSD) granted Barcelona an urgent precautionary measure, allowing the duo to be available for selection until the case was over.
Laporta reportedly celebrated the win in Jeddah in front of RFEF and La Liga officials as Olmo and Victor will now be able to take the field in Sunday’s Supercopa de Espana final against rivals Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia.
He also hit out at both authorities for their handling of the entire registration case.
Speaking to Marca, the Barca president said: “The Supercup has been surrounded by controversy that could have been avoided if things were done differently.
“The fact is it’s now resolved and they will be able to play. From Barca’s point of view, we are satisfied.”

However, Laporta has faced intense scrutiny for his role in this cloud hanging over Barcelona.
After facing their arch-rivals on Sunday, Hansi Flick’s side will return to Spain and take on Real Betis next Wednesday in a Copa del Rey round of 16 clash.
