Mario Balotelli is in talks over a shock move to Brazilian club Corinthians but his salary demands may prove to be a major stumbling block.
Per UOL, Mario is in talks with Corinthians over a move to Brazil from Turkish side Adana Demirspor.
The striker is now 33 but has demanded a salary of £4m-per-season, which equates to around £75,000-per-week.
Balotelli is still on the books at Adana, who had the option to extend his stay by another season.
They are yet to exercise that option, however, despite him scoring seven goals in 16 appearances last term.
Corinthians have hired a new manager in Ramon Diaz, and they are simply awaiting the manager’s sign-off ahead of pursuing their deal for Balotelli.
The striker’s representatives have been in talks with the Brazilian club for a number of weeks.
