Foden, who was named Manchester City’s Player of the Season in the 2023/24 campaign, has failed to live up to the expectations in the ongoing Euro 2024.

Several pundits have pointed out that the 24-year-old has failed to adjust on the left side, as he is used to playing either from the right side or as a number 10.

If Southgate decides to switch the City attacker’s position, he must drop Saka to the bench.

However, Cole believes that the Gunners star could use the opportunity to get some much-needed rest.

“You can still see it as a rest for Saka.

“I would like Foden to show the world how good he is because we know.
