Superstar Asake has earned a spot on the NBA 2K25 Season 2 soundtrack album with his track “Wave,” a collaboration with British rapper Central Cee.
The song, taken from Asake’s third album Lungu Boy, is one of the highlights of the album, which also includes tracks from American artists Key Glock and Lil Pete.
Asake is the only Afrobeats artist featured on the NBA 2K25 soundtrack, marking a consecutive appearance for the genre following Adekunle Gold’s “Party No Dey Stop” featuring Zinoleesky, which was part of the NBA 2K24 soundtrack.
With this inclusion, Asake joins Nigerian stars Adekunle Gold and Burna Boy in featuring on the soundtrack of the popular game, which has sold over 9 million copies in its 2024 version.
Asake recently wrapped up his Lungu Boy tour, selling out prestigious venues such as Madison Square Garden, Toyota Arena, TD Garden, and Capital One Arena.
He also became the third Nigerian artist to headline the O2 Arena in London.
