When Naja’at Muhammad was in the All Progressives Congress (APC) the party loved her so much, but that love left when she moved to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Now, she has been appointed as the North West coordinator of the Presidential Election by the Police Service Commission (PSC).
This appointment is not landing well with the APC.
The ruling party is rejecting her appointment, claiming it is insensitive.
Her role is simple.
“She is expected to move about freely supervising the conduct of Police Officers during the election,” the party says.

The party describes the appointment as “not only callous” but “insensitive, openly confrontational and consequently unacceptable”.
The Chief Spokesman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Festus Keyamo says the role requires an honest individual.
“We need not emphasise that the role given to NAJA’ATU requires an honest and unbiased individual who will discharge the duties diligently and without reproach.
“The nation will not get that from NAJA’ATU.
“We, therefore, demand for the IMMEDIATE withdrawal of the name of NAJA’ATU Bala Muhammad as a coordinator,” Keyamo says.
Keyamo believes Mohammad “has an inalienable right to continue to campaign for any candidate of her choice and to vote for that candidate.
“But she cannot be given a garment to wear at this time that is meant only for neutrals.”
Why Mohammed Left APC
Naja’atu Mohammed was the former National Coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima APCPCC for Civil Society Organisations.
She dumped the party to support the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, a few weeks ago.
In an interview, she gave the reason for her withdrawal that Tinubu could “not hold a tea cup,’ and had no agenda for the north.
However, the APC claims the former coordinator left the APC because its presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu refused to give her ‘free money’.
