Tosin Adarabioyo has been added to Chelsea’s Europa Conference League squad after initially being omitted due to an ‘admin error’.
Chelsea submitted a 21-man squad on Tuesday with UEFA for their upcoming Europa Conference League play-off tie against Servette.
While new signing Adarabioyo was initially part of the squad, the UEFA website did not show the name of the English defender until Wednesday.
After the Blues noticed that the young defender’s name was missing from the list due to an ‘admin error’, per BBC Sport journalist Nizaar Kinsella.
Adarabioyo, who joined the Blues on a free transfer from Fulham in the summer and penned a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge, was named in the matchday squad for the club’s Premier League opener against Manchester City.
The player, however, did not get any game time as the Blues went down 2-0 against the reigning champions.
Among the star players who will miss the Conference League clash are Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell and Wesley Fofana.
Levi Colwill, on the other hand, will be included in the B list featuring academy players.
