Nollywood actress, Biola Adebayo, was overcome with emotion as she bid a final farewell to her late mother.
Mrs Mojisola Nurat Adebayo was laid to rest on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
A heartfelt video shared by Biola Bayo captured the actress in tears.
She was surrounded by mourners at the graveside, as her mother was committed to the earth.
Expressing the depth of her sorrow, she described her heartbreak and wished for the pain to subside.
“My heart is shattered,” she wrote. “I wish this pain would go away now, but I know ALL IS WELL!”
A day before the burial, the actress issued an official statement confirming her mother’s passing.
“With a heavy heart and complete submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mrs Mojisola Nurat Adebayo (née Adelakun), who departed this world on the evening of Tuesday, 11 February 2025,” the statement read.
Fondly known as Iya Wale or Ejoyin, the late Mrs Adebayo was remembered as a woman who lived a remarkable 68 years filled with love, kindness, and wisdom.
According to Biola Bayo, her mother was a pillar of strength who instilled patience, tolerance, and love in those around her.
“In accordance with Islamic rites, she was laid to rest on Wednesday, 12 February 2025. As we reflect on her impactful life, the family will hold the 8th Day Fidau prayers next Wednesday to honour her memory,” she added.
