While many people see success as complete financial independence, Davido says family support still shapes his life, even as one of Africa’s biggest music stars.

During a recent interview, Davido spoke openly about his close relationship with his father, Adedeji Adeleke.
He explained that his billionaire father still gives money to his children whenever they achieve something meaningful.
According to the singer, fame and wealth never changed his father’s generous nature.
“I’d be lying to you if I told you that my dad still doesn’t give his kids money,” he said.

Davido Receives $300,000
Davido then shared a story that caught many listeners’ attention.
After his father attended one of his arena concerts, he called the singer personally to praise the performance.
Soon after, he surprised Davido with a huge financial gift.
“I remember after my arena show, which he attended, he called me and congratulated me, saying that it was a good show, and then he wired me $300,000,” Davido revealed.
However, despite growing up in a wealthy home, Davido continues to stress that he built his music career through hard work and determination.
Over the years, the singer, also known as O.B.O, has expanded his influence across the global music industry through talent, consistency and strong fan support.
