Medical doctor and visual artist Dr. Fola David has launched an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record by creating the world’s largest drawing by an individual.
From July 16 to July 21, 2024, at MOBOLAJI JOHNSON ARENA, formerly Onikan Stadium in Lagos, Dr. Fola David’s drawing, titled ‘Unity in Diversity’, will be created.
The project, which started on Tuesday, July 16, aims to cover 850 square meters of canvas and will be a detailed map of Nigeria highlighting its diverse cultures.
Speaking on the theme of the painting ‘Unity in Diversity”, Dr David said: “I am doing this drawing not only as a reflection of our cultural identities but also as a medium for building understanding and unity among diverse Nigerian tribes, thereby promoting peaceful coexistence in my country,”
