Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile has debunked reports alleging that he vowed never to marry his longtime partner and baby mama, Davita Lamai, describing the claims as completely false.
The controversy began after an X user, @BoutMoney, alleged that the rapper had openly declared he would never marry Lamai despite having two children with her.
The post further claimed that Lamai was in tears over the alleged statement, sparking widespread reactions on social media.
Reacting to the viral claim, Zlatan Ibile took to X to firmly deny the report, labeling it “fake.”
The rapper expressed frustration over the spread of misinformation and criticized social media users who engage with unverified claims.
He also warned that the individual behind the post would face consequences for spreading false information.
“Y’all know I hate to shalaye. But if you’re still one of those who can’t differentiate or confirm before you engage an agenda post in 2026, you don’t deserve to have internet on your phone,” Zlatan wrote.
“This is fake! Banger boy, your time is coming soon.”
The clarification comes shortly after Zlatan addressed his relationship status with Lamai on Snapchat.
Responding to a fan who referred to her as his wife, the rapper explained that while Lamai is the mother of his children, they are not yet married.
