Mercy Johnson Withdraws Defamation Case Against TikToker

This was after the actress dropped the case following widespread public outcry across various social media platforms.

The decision came just hours after prominent social media critic VeryDarkMan publicly criticised the actress,

He accused her of oppression and stressing that defamation is a civil matter rather than a criminal offence.

Also, he joined other Nigerians in calling for the immediate release of the TikToker and issued an ultimatum to the actress.

Shortly after, VeryDarkMan confirmed Eedie Bliss’ release in a post shared on his Instagram page.

Also, he expressed appreciation to Mercy Johnson for withdrawing the case and urged the public to stop harassing the actress and her family.

@MercyJohnsonOkojie, thank you very much, my greatest of all time, for dropping the case,” he wrote. “Moving forward, I am buying all defamation cases against Mercy Johnson and her family. The bullying is too much. You all should leave her family alone.”

Eedie Bliss was arrested days earlier over a video she posted on TikTok in December 2025, in which she made allegations involving Mercy Johnson and her husband, Prince Henry Okojie.

In the video, the TikToker claimed that Prince Okojie had allegedly purchased a house for a woman said to be pregnant for him outside his marriage.

Quoting popular gossip blog Cutie Juls as her source, Eedie Bliss further alleged that Mercy Johnson was involved in actions that resulted in the woman’s miscarriage
