The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning as actor and producer Timini Egbuson announced the passing of his father.
This marks a sombre start to the new year for the popular Nollywood family.
Timini shared the heartbreaking news on Sunday via his official Instagram page.
He poured out his emotions in a touching tribute to his late father.
“Didn’t think I’ll start the year saying this… Rest in peace, Dad. So much left unsaid, but I’ll keep making you proud,” the actor wrote.
Timini is the younger brother of veteran Nollywood actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande.
This makes the loss a deeply personal one for the well-known siblings.
Following the announcement, condolences have continued to pour in from colleagues and fans across the entertainment industry.
