Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Ejiba, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, was thrown into confusion on Sunday
This was after gunmen stormed the premises during service and abducted the pastor, identified as Orlando, his wife, and multiple worshippers.

The attackers reportedly entered the church unexpectedly and opened fire.
It causes worshippers to scatter in panic as they fled for safety.
Eyewitnesses described the moment as terrifying, noting that the bandits appeared well-armed and operated with precision.
The exact number of abducted victims remains uncertain as families continue to verify those missing.
Worshippers Flee Amid Heavy Gunfire
According to residents, the gunmen interrupted the service abruptly, sending the congregation scrambling in different directions.
Many narrowly escaped the gunfire, while others were taken away by the attackers.
Also, the community has since been gripped by fear as tension rises over the safety of the kidnapped individuals.
Government Launches Manhunt, Heightens Surveillance
Reacting to the incident, the Kogi State Government confirmed that security agencies have intensified surveillance across the region.
The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo, said that both state and local security structures are working together to locate the victims and track down the attackers.
Fanwo stated that a coordinated rescue effort is underway, assuring residents that the government is doing everything possible to ensure the safe return of the abducted worshippers.
Governor Ododo Personally Directs Security Response
Fanwo also revealed that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is directly overseeing the security operations.
Also, the governor has instructed security operatives to take immediate action to prevent further attacks in the region and ensure the safe release of the victims.
