Actress Nkechi Blessing has voiced her disappointment over what she calls a troubling decline in genuine support and a rise in envy within society.
In a candid Instagram post, the actress reflected on how many people today seem more focused on tearing others down rather than building together and celebrating shared success.
Also, she criticised the culture of rivalry and bitterness.
She noted that progress becomes easier when people choose collaboration over competition.
Nkechi emphasised that supporting others comes at no cost and does not require hatred or jealousy.
She expressed concern that too many individuals would rather compete destructively or secretly hope for others to fail.
Sharing her thoughts in pidgin, she wrote:
“Some people dey collaborate and still dey win, but others wan use competition wound themselves. Another set go siddon for corner dey beat chest say another human being no go succeed.
For this life wey nothing dey inside? For this life wey you fit sleep and no wake up? Why hold am so strong?
No genuine support again. If you chop, I chop — na so life go sweet. E cost nothing to lift the next person without hate or envy.”
