While speaking at the UN, Minaj expressed gratitude to  U.S. President Donald Trump for prioritising the issue.

She said, “I would like to thank President Trump for prioritising this issue and for his leadership on the global stage in calling for urgent action to defend Christians in Nigeria.”

The rapper described the situation in grave terms.

Also, she stated that Christians are being “targeted, displaced, and killed,” with churches destroyed, families traumatised, and entire communities living in constant fear simply because of their faith.

Also, she noted that the problem extends beyond Nigeria and requires immediate global attention.

Nicki Minaj further emphasised that the matter should not be viewed through a political lens but recognised as a humanitarian crisis.

She continued:
“Protecting Christians in Nigeria is not about taking sides or dividing people. It is about uniting humanity. Nigeria is a beautiful nation with deep faith traditions and many Barbs that I can’t wait to see. We saw the threats clearly before us and chose not to look the other way.”

Her remarks have sparked widespread international reactions.
