Morocco has made history at the FIFA U-17 World Cup after humiliating New Caledonia 16–0 in a record-breaking group-stage clash on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

The emphatic victory smashed Spain’s long-standing 13–0 record and reignited Morocco’s hopes of reaching the knockout stage.
The North Africans were ruthless from start to finish, dominating possession and converting nearly every chance created.
Abdelali Eddaoudi set the tone with two first-half goals and a commanding performance that earned him the Player of the Match award.
New Caledonia’s misery deepened when Typhan Dreuko and Jean Canehmez were both sent off before halftime, leaving the team with nine men and no answer to Morocco’s relentless attack.
Oualid Ibn Salah, Ziyad Baha, Nahel Haddani, Ismail El Aoud, and Abdellah Ouazane all netted braces as the scoreline ballooned to 16–0 the largest in U-17 World Cup history.
With the win, Morocco climbed to third place in Group B behind Japan and Portugal.
Their progression now depends on results in other groups as they await confirmation of a possible Round of 32 spot.
