The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding the arrest and arraignment of Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, the younger brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.
In an official statement released by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, it was revealed that on October 28, the police received a formal petition against Sammy West and three others over alleged offences.
This includes criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, theft, and cyber-bullying.
According to Adeh, multiple invitations were sent to Sammy for questioning by the Metro Area Command, but he failed to respond.
Consequently, an arrest warrant was obtained from a competent court.
This lead to his arrest in Lagos and subsequent transfer to Abuja for investigation.
Following the investigation, the suspect was charged to court on November 6, 2025.
These are for the listed offences and has since been remanded pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.
