Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has fired back at critics who have been questioning his form since joining Werder Bremen on loan.

The Super Eagles forward, who moved to the Bundesliga side after his proposed switch to AC Milan collapsed, is yet to score in seven league appearances for Bremen.
Boniface’s move to Milan fell through due to concerns over his previous anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, leading the Italian club to withdraw from the deal despite initially agreeing on a loan with a €24 million buy option.
Werder Bremen opted to take a chance on the 23-year-old, but he has so far struggled to find his rhythm, registering just one assist since his debut.
Speaking to Soccer Laduma, Victor Boniface addressed his critics particularly users on X (formerly Twitter) accusing some of using his struggles to gain attention online.
“The media says a lot of things. When you don’t score, people want to talk. But trust me, you don’t know anything about me,” Boniface said.
“Most people don’t even watch games they just check LiveScore and start insulting players on Twitter to make money. Those things don’t affect me; I’m strong.”
The forward, who is active on social media, has reportedly reduced his presence on X, shifting focus to other platforms such as Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and Twitch a move fans believe is aimed at avoiding online negativity.
