Tension rocked the Miss Universe 2025 pre-pageant event in Thailand after several contestants reportedly staged a walkout in solidarity with Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch.
This follows a public altercation with a pageant official.

According to eyewitnesses, Nawat Itsaragrisil, a senior Thai official involved in the event’s organisation, allegedly insulted and humiliated Bosch during a session.
He calls her “dumb” for failing to post a promotional video on her social media page as instructed by organisers.
When Bosch objected to the remarks, Nawat reportedly called security and threatened to disqualify her and any contestants who showed support.
In response, Bosch walked out, and several fellow contestants followed, leaving the event in protest against what they described as “unprofessional conduct.”
Speaking in a viral video recorded outside the venue, Miss Mexico addressed the incident, expressing disappointment over the disrespect she experienced.
“As a country, you have all my respect. I truly love Thailand. I respect all of you; you are amazing people. But what your director did was not respectful. He called me dumb and told me to shut up. I think the world needs to see this because we are empowered women — this platform is for our voice,” she stated.
