Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Dede, has come under fire on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) after defending disqualified contestant Faith Adewale during a post-show interview.
Dede’s remarks stirred controversy when she stated that although Faith’s actions were wrong, he was “not that bad.”

Her comments referred to Faith’s physical altercations in the BBNaija house.
This includes an incident where he pushed fellow housemate Sultana and another where he allegedly struck Imisi with a pan.
Faith was disqualified from the reality show on October 2, 2025.
Also, this was after Big Brother ruled that his aggressive behaviour towards Sultana constituted a serious violation of the show’s zero-tolerance policy on physical violence.
Following Dede’s interview, many users on X accused her of minimising the seriousness of Faith’s actions and attempting to excuse abuse.
Some argued that her statement reflected a culture of enabling violent behaviour, particularly against women.
However, others came to Dede’s defence, suggesting that her comments were taken out of context.
Supporters pointed out that Faith had shown kindness and leadership qualities earlier in the season.
Also, they accused some fans of hypocrisy for overlooking similar misconduct by other housemates.
