After weeks of suspension, the Abuja–Kaduna Train Service (AKTS) resumes operations on Wednesday, October 1.
The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) now dedicates every Wednesday to maintenance, ensuring passengers enjoy safe and reliable journeys.

Passenger Care And Compensation
The resumption follows the August 26 incident that disrupted travel and shook many commuters.
Since then, NRC staff have contacted 530 of the 583 passengers, issued refunds to 512, and offered weekly free rides to all 618 people on board during the accident.
Moreover, the corporation’s medical team has treated the 22 injured passengers, demonstrating NRC’s renewed commitment to passenger care.
