Model and entrepreneur Lori Harvey has opened up about her decade-long struggle with unexplained symptoms before finally being diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis.
The 28-year-old shared her story on an episode of SheMD with Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi and Mary Alice Haney.

She detailed years of frustration as her health concerns were dismissed by doctors.
Lori Harvey revealed that despite constant visits to her gynaecologist, she was repeatedly told that nothing was wrong.
“I’ve been so frustrated. I kept going to my gynaecologist because I felt something was off in my body,” she explained. “But every time, she said, ‘You’re fine, you’re fine, nothing’s wrong.’ And I was like, ‘But I don’t feel fine.’”
It wasn’t until Lori Harvey consulted Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi
This is a Los Angeles-based OB-GYN known for treating A-list patients that she finally got clarity.
Following her first appointment, Dr. Aliabadi identified several red flags and diagnosed her with PCOS and endometriosis.
Harvey recalled being told that her ovaries were “so swollen and inflamed” that it would have been “impossible” for her to get pregnant at the time.
Raising Awareness
By sharing her story, Harvey hopes to shine a light on how women’s health issues are often overlooked or minimised.
Her experience echoes that of many women who spend years seeking answers for symptoms that go undiagnosed.
