Brazilian football superstar Neymar Jr. has reportedly been named the sole heir to a staggering £846 million fortune left behind by a billionaire he never personally met.
According to Brazilian outlet RIC, the will was formalised in Porto Alegre and authenticated on June 12, with two witnesses present.

Also, the inheritance, however, is still subject to approval by Brazilian courts before Neymar can be officially declared the beneficiary.
The unnamed billionaire, said to have been single and childless.
He allegedly chose Neymar because he “identified with him on a personal level.”
Local reports suggest the businessman admired Neymar’s close-knit family bonds.
Neymar, now 33 years old, has not publicly commented on the reports.
Even if the courts approve the will, legal hurdles could still complicate the inheritance process.
This development comes as Neymar has returned to his boyhood club Santos after leaving Saudi side Al-Hilal earlier this year.
During the 2024/25 season, he managed three goals in 14 appearances for Santos.
