Nigerian singer Obumneme Ali, popularly known as Smash and one-half of the Afropop music duo Bracket, has claimed that the long-running rift between Peter and Paul Okoye of P-Square is rooted in spiritual forces.
He stated this on the AFRIMMA Podcast alongside his Bracket bandmate Vast
He revealed that despite being closer to Paul, he often visited Peter and was received warmly.
However, he insisted that the feud between the Okoye brothers went beyond ordinary disagreements.
“In my view as someone who has been close to them, the problem is spiritual,” Smash explained.
“The last time I spoke with Paul, I told him directly that his issue with Peter wasn’t normal but spiritual, and he agreed with me.”
Smash further expressed sadness over the fallout of the brothers, stressing how united they once were.
According to him, P-Square was not just about music but about deep brotherly love and a brand built with passion and commitment.
Also, he also pointed out the role of their elder brother, Jude Okoye
Jude Okoye was deeply involved in their career before the split.
