May Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has shared an intimate story about how she first met the father of her children, revealing that their journey began in a very humble setting.
Speaking during a recent lifestyle podcast, May disclosed that she and Yul did not meet in the usual social or glamorous environments often associated with love stories.

Instead, their paths crossed at a General Certificate Examination (GCE) centre during her early university days.
May explained that she had recently moved from Lagos to pursue her degree at Enugu State University when fate brought her and Yul together.
At that time, Yul was studying at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), but their meeting happened in a purely academic environment.
“Way back in school when I went to the East for my university, I’m a bookworm. It’s always been about books for me. We didn’t meet at a party or any glamorous setting, we met at a GCE centre,” she revealed.
Reflecting on her personality at the time, May described herself as a studious and academically driven young woman whose focus was on education rather than social activities or relationships.
According to her, that meeting at the GCE centre was unexpected and marked the beginning of a journey that later blossomed into love, marriage, and eventually, family.
Her revelation has sparked conversations among fans and social media users, with many noting how simple and ordinary beginnings often lead to remarkable stories.
May and Yul’s marriage has been a subject of public attention, especially after Yul’s controversial decision to take a second wife created a rift in their relationship.
