Osun State University marked a landmark day in Osogbo as it inaugurated four major infrastructure projects worth ₦3.8 billion.

The university unveiled the new Senate Building, Faculty of Computing and Information Science, a 500-seat auditorium, and a twin lecture theatre during its 15th Convocation, signalling a bold step into the future.
TETFund’s Vision In Action
Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Masari and Chairman of TETFund’s Board of Trustees, Aminu Masari, led the ceremony.
He hailed the projects as evidence of TETFund’s vision to make Nigerian universities globally competitive in an era defined by digital innovation and artificial intelligence.
He also reminded the audience that TETFund had allocated over ₦14 billion to Osun State University since 2006, with more than ₦10.5 billion already spent on development projects.

Meanwhile, Vice-Chancellor, Professor Clement Adebooye, proudly described the Senate Building as a symbol of the university’s ambition.
It features a 500-capacity relaxation centre, multiple offices, conference rooms, a pavilion Senate chamber, and executive offices for the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor, complemented by elevators, full furnishing, and a dedicated power supply.
He thanked TETFund for its trust and pledged that the university would use the funds diligently.
In addition, TETFund Executive Secretary Sonny Echono delivered a keynote lecture on “Digital Transformation in Higher Education,” emphasising that Nigerian universities must train graduates who are innovative, locally relevant, and globally competitive.
By the end of the day, the new structures stood as more than bricks and mortar—they represented ambition, progress, and the university’s determination to shine as a modern centre of learning, both in Nigeria and beyond.
